I'm incredibly grateful to the couples and families who have trusted me to be part of their special moments and taken the time to share their experiences.
These beautiful words mean so much to me, and I hope they give you a little insight into what it's like to work together and the care, connection and heart I bring to every ceremony.
Weddings
Choosing a wedding celebrant is choosing someone to stand beside you during a moment you'll remember for the rest of your life. I'm incredibly grateful to the couples who have trusted me to be part of their special days.
“Kate was the perfect celebrant choice for our big day. She genuinely cared about making the day special for us. She was always contactable and was calm throughout, even when we were leaving things to the last minute! We didn't want our ceremony to be too formal, and Kate gave several cool suggestions of elements to add to make things more fun. We used a few of these ideas and they definitely added to making the day memorable and unique!
With a delay in the bride's arrival, Kate did a great job of managing our guests. She kept them updated on changing ETAs which allowed our guests to pop into a bar and have a pre-drink, which actually added to the joy of the occasion! The ceremony was beautiful - simple, fun, personal and with a few tears (the good kind!).
Of all the parties we dealt with in our wedding planning process, Kate was the standout. We were confident from the start that she was the right choice. We had recently eloped and married in a beautiful ceremony in Bali but needed to legalise the process in Australia and had in mind something small and simple. A personalised event with just a couple of witnesses present, and as little organisational stress as possible. Throughout the leadup she made everything incredibly straightforward and clear, and on the day she fitted in like an old friend or family member, yet subtly took charge - moving us through the process, setting the scene perfectly for a teary exchange of vows, and paying attention to all the things we could easily have forgotten in the moment in such a small intimate group, such as prompting and snapping photos and filming videos.

From the very beginning, her compassion, warmth and caring manner helped my parents and me navigate what felt like an overwhelming task - deciding how we wanted to say goodbye and what we wanted the service to include.
The three of us sat down with Kate to talk about Jacqui, and what I had imagined would be an incredibly challenging and emotional conversation was the complete opposite. Kate created such a warm and comfortable space that we found ourselves talking, laughing and remembering. She gently encouraged us to tell stories, share our favourite memories and reveal the little things that made Jacqui so special.
Kate then took everything we had shared and wove it into the most beautiful service. She captured Jacqui’s personality and spirit so incredibly well, while also giving heartfelt tribute to her partner and children.
As someone who writes professionally, I honestly didn’t think it would be possible for someone who had only known Jacqui through the stories we shared to encapsulate her so completely and articulate what made her so loved. But Kate did exactly that.
She didn’t simply conduct a funeral service. She listened, she understood, and she brought our memories of Jacqui to life in a way that felt authentic, beautiful and completely her.
